Benefits of Omega 3-6-9
Omega 3-6-9 is a new
multi-EFA (Essential Fatty Acids) soft Gel with a patent
pending enteric coating. Omega
3-6-9 delivers a potent dose of EFAs,
including Omega 3, Omega 6, and
Omega 9 in an innovative way that helps
optimize absorption by the body.
The Omega 3-6-9
formulation contains an exciting new plant oil called
Perilla oil, that packs a real punch. Perilla is a rich
source of omega 3, 6, and 9
fatty acids, phytochemicals and amino acids.
The oil has a long history of use in Asian Medicine. In
500 AD, a Chinese Physician's Manual first described the
therapeutic uses of ZiSu. Many centuries later,
researches have proven the therapeutic benefits of Zi Su
after years of clinical use and scores of published
research. In North America, Zi Su is known by its common
botanical name perilla, which is the primary ingredient
in Omega 3-6-9's
formulation. Gram for gram,
Omega 3-6-9 contains more
Omega 3 (alpha-linolenic
acid) than flaxseed oil. Omega
3-6-9 is also a rich source of
Omega 6 (linolenic
acid) and Omega 9
(oleic acid).
Why
We Make It ?
There are two families of Essential Fatty Acids(EFA's),
the omega 3 and the
omega 6.
Omega 3 fatty acids are
made from Alpha Linolenic Acid, and the
omega 6 fatty acids are
made from Linoleic Acid. Consuming both Linolenic and
Linoliec Fatty acids allows the body to make all the
essential fats it needs. Both of these - Linolenic Acid
and Linoleic Acid - are used by the body to manufacture
other EFA's. The body uses linolenic Acid to produce
both Dososahexaenoic Acid (DHA), and Eicosapentaenoic
Acid (EPA), and uses Linoleic Acid to produce
Arachidonic Acid (AA) and Gamma Linoleic Acid (GLA).
Omega 3 and
omega 6 fatty acids
affect growth, vitality and mental state, and they are
involved in converting food substances into usable
energy and then transporting that energy throughout our
bodies. They favorably affect atherosclerosis, coronary
heart disease, inflammatory disease, and perhaps even
behavioral disorders. Omega 9
fatty acid, or Oleic acid, may sometimes be mistaken as
an EFA, but it is not because humans can produce a
limited amount. Oleic Acid is the primary
Mono-unsaturated fatty acid (MUFA) found in olive oil.
Oleic acid is associated with reducing atherosclerosis
(hardening of the arteries), reduced insulin resistance
and, thus, improved glucose (blood sugar) maintenance,
improved immune system function, and for possible
protective effects from some cancers. Numerous studies
point to a modest beneficial effect of olive oil
consumption on breast cancer risk.
Omegas 3-6-9 is great for daily use
because our bodies depend on EFAs for normal functioning
cells. EFAs act as building blocks in cell membranes and
produce hormone-like substances necessary for energy
metabolism and cardiovascular and immune health.
Research shows that Essential Fatty Acids benefit
-
Skin, hair, and nail health
-
Cardiovascular/immune health
-
Proper development of eyes and brain
